Revisited the Tropical Sol on the 13th Jan 2007, We decided to take a January break and decided to return to the same Apartments. We stayed there in November 2006..Again we was made most wellcome.
No Wellcome Pack this time, Not to matter it was made up by the very friendly wellcome we recieved from the staff, They allocated us exactly where we requested..Again spotlessly clean..NO SMELLS..Toaster spot on ..In fact absolutely to our requirements and wishes..We will be going back later in the year for a much longer stay,Three months hopefully..Again we would say give this hotel a try you will not be disappointed..Best wishes to all.

Tropical Sol: Tropical Sol Apartments Albufeira by Bejay |

Just returned from the above.
Excellent lovely and clean, all rooms face the pool, which is a good size, plenty of sunbeds, nice grassed area. There is a pool bar serving drinks and food, and a bar in the evening inside run by Marco and Rosanne, a lovely young couple.
Towels were changed every day- even the T. towel. It is only a five minute walk to the strip with bars, shops and restaurants. You can get the train (wally trolley) just round the corner to the beach or the old town. This runs till 2.40 in the morning. If you go out of the apartments, turn left, there is a supermarket 2 mins a bit further a lovely bakery for the fresh bread, and lovely cakes. The apartments also run a courtesy bus to the beach at 9.45 in the morning returning at about 1 or 4.30. It also goes to the old town at 10 in the morning.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, never had a bad meal, and walked to the old town 3 nights, took 25 minutes a pleasant walk. The weather was great, no cardigan required in the evenings.
We used Oura beach which was about 15 mins walk, there was also Forte beach, it is a bit of a climb down if anyone has trouble walking but no problem otherwise. The old town beach is good too. The beaches are lovely with soft sand.
We visited Vilamoura one day, just got the local bus it was about €5 return. Vilamoura consits mainly just the harbour with nice boats, restaurants and a few shops but nice to walk around. Also went on the Jeep Safari which was a good day, but we could not swim anywhere as the fresh springs were dried up with no rain having fallen.
Going back to the apartment, as you entered there was a double bedroom, then a full bathroom with shower, then a kitchen, with kettle, toaster, microwave, plenty of cutlery and plates, although we only ate breakfast. Then the lounge with table and chairs, Two big chairs and a sofa, with another single bed under neath, as the apartment was for four people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
