Tsilivi shopping

8.0
There are plenty of little shops in Tsilivi for souviniers etc all cheap! Zante town is the best place to go for all the shops though, just a 10 minute taxi ride over the hill from Tsilivi. It's good for shopping and a nice place to sit and chill by the harbour.

Tsilivi nightlife

9.0
Every week there are beach parties, inc alexandras beach party (one of the best known) where all of the reps and bar workers go after their shift cos it goes on til 6am! In Tsilivi itself there are loads of bars and pubs that will suit everyone! Be careful of pick pockets though, they ride around on mopeheads and grab bags and ride off.

Tsilivi restaurants

10.0
The restaurants are all lovely! Fiorentinos was by far the best we came across. Just a little place but serves excellent greek cuisine at a good price! There is the ever famous Popeyes that has something for everyone and a little place on the beach (cant remember its name) that does a variet of seafood and lush souvlakis! If you want a full english tho, go to faulty towers! You seriously cant beat it! Theres loads of places that you can get crepes filled with cookies, icecream and sauces mmm!

Tsilivi attractions

8.0
Tsilivi beach is really long and golden but gets busy around 11am so make sure you get there early to get a good spot. You can hire loungers and theres always people walking up and down selling delishy donuts and fruit salads! The water is shallow really far out as well, perfect for kids! You can even see fish swimming around! Theres no water parks or anything though.

Tsilivi day trips

If you are gonna book day trips dont do it through the reps, its cheaper from shops in the town. The boat trip around the island is well worth going on to see smugglers' cove, pictures just dont do it justice! Its an all day trip so make sure to take a few snacks (food on the boat isnt that good, they ran out of most things) and take travel sickness pills as the sea is really rough around the north of the island! There are loads of trips with glass bottomed boats so you can see the turtles! The blue caves of Keri are brilliant to see as well.

Tsilivi History and Culture

Famous for its long sandy beach, Smugglers cove and Loggerhead turtles that nest on the beach of Laganas but are found in the waters all around the island. The island is a fairly new to tourism but is becoming more popular.

Getting to Tsilivi

7.0
The flight from Newcastle was just over 4.4 hours. Zante has 1 airport that is really small! Baggage reclaim there was ok although theres only 1 conveyer belt for all of the flights that come in. Beware of the toilets there, they are not clean at all! The transfer time was less than half an hour in an air conditioned bus. Returning home was the worst part- the airport is so small that we had to queue outside in th sun in lines according to the flight we would be on. This was cramped with about 10 flights going out! Once inside there was no where to move until your flight left. Many airports of the greek islands are like this tho, dont let it put you off! We wandered around the duty free shop to get out of the way of the crouds!

Getting around Tsilivi

Once youre in tsilivi there are plenty of places to hire a car to take in the whole island (this was recommended by a few people we spoke to).

When to visit Tsilivi

From june to september the weather is really good. We went in july and it was in the 30-40s. The locals said it can go months without rain in the summer and it didnt rain once or get cloudy whilst we were there! The lack of wind made it rediculously hot though, we were thankful of a few gusty days to cool off!
