I have just returned from my 12th visit of Turunc and have to say it wont be my last. Although there is things going on in the villiage that can be off putting i have to say there is nowhere that is as peaceful and relaxing as Turunc.
The beach is a shingle beach and can be kind of sore on the feet so wearing flipflops or jelly shoes is recommended sunloungers are available but the council have now decided to charge for these at the cost of 2 lira per sunbed. Some of the resturants are trying to stop these charges and heres hoping they do as when i was there most of the sunloungers were empty as people were more into going to marmaris where the beach is better than turunc.
There are plenty of shops in turunc lots of clothes stalls and jewellers. I tend to stick to the same jeweller (KING) as I over the last 6 years I have bought all my things there with no complaints what so ever.
Lots of estate agents available too if you wish to buy property in Turkey

There are a few tour companies I booked a boat trip this year which was a bbq and 5 bays trip I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my holiday my tan came on wonders. They take you to 5 bays all of which you can get off and swim with the fishes one stop even takes in old ruins. Another place you go to is a small bay with a few stalls and resturants again there was no hassle on this trip.

Marmaris is a short trip away either by minibus or by water taxi and when you get to marmaris this is where the fun begins there is a huge bazzare with lots of shops selling mostly the same things the people working these shops like to bargain with you although some can be kinda rude. If you have time go to the tansas this is a supermarket and very good fun. Marmaris is also a good night out with most of the bars having some entertainment. Dreamboys was one of the biggest bars in marmaris in previous years but it recently moved to turunc very good entertainment and most nights I've had a good laugh.

One of the bars that I spent most of my time in was a place called King bar its up at the top of the village near nirvana and gypsies most people dont know that this bar plays traditional turkish music and has very good atmosphere and I have to say hi to Rhona and Gurdal who really are great people!
