| Turunc Review: Turunc 2005 | | Written by Fi Young on 10 Jun 2005 about a trip in Nov 2005.
| Have returned from a week in Turunc staying at Es apartments
The apartments were very spacious and clean but the 147 steps!! to our room made it a bit of a slog and I would not recommend it unless you are fit and able. Having said that once you got your breath back the view from the balcony of the bay was super.
Turunc itself is a pretty compact resort. Plenty of jewellers and gift shops and unusually no hassle, so plenty of time to window shop, which made a refreshing change.
There are a good selection of restaurants and we enjoyed everywhere that we ate. Our favorite was on of the samller ones on the beach front. The chef is Anatolian and the food was the best we had. During the day you are fed and watered by the restaurant who own the sunbeds so no charge for them or the sunshades
The beach itself is shingle and pebble so wear gelly shoes if you have difficulty walking on stones in the water. We enjoyed a relaxing week,
well fed and looked after |
