| | we stayed at the zeybek hotel last september ; first time there, first time in Turunc, in fact we were all round Turkey ''virgins''! Had read reviews about turunc on this site, all helpful regarding chosing the location, but had found nothing on the zeybek. Arriving late evening after the long transfer fom Dalaman airport, we were greeted by the really friendly manager. he'.d allocated us alarger than usual room bacause we had our almost teenage son with us, but had still squeezed in a side sea view which we had requested. the hotel is in a lovely position, right on the sea front; if a sea view is important request it on booking, it really is a stunning vista! staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel clean and efficient; many guests said they had been returning for several years - in fact they and the hotel staff were more informative and approachable than the holiday rep.[like that surprised us!] Breakfast was plentiful -cold meats, cheeses, olives, salads,bread,jams and [local] honey ,eggs; but the best bit about breakfast was sitting a pebbles throw from the beach, slowly gliding into the day. The only negatives: 1 the holiday rep - not interested once she realised we were not buying trips off her and whose expertise of local interests was negligent [unless you mentioned Marmaris ] 2hotel zeybek- fix the toaster brits like their morning toast! please! 3the owner of the hotel was arrogant and offhand with his staff, but luckily ignored the punters. 4hotel next door pushing boundaries with later than usual loud .music [but no fear, a regular at the hotel was organising a petition] Anyway, we had a wonderful time and would love to return. |
