Hotel Victoria has a good location, just off the Grand Boulevards and only a few yards from the metro. The hotel has a good reception with helpful staff, two lifts and a very pleasant breakfast room in the basement, where a good french "petit dejeuner" is served by a cheerful fellow who offered my pregnant wife an egg "pour la bebe"! just opposite hotel's arched passageway is restaurant "Chartier", a superb turn-of-the-century establishment like going back in time - simple food, great value, marvellous setting. Rooms at Victoria a little small, bathroom tiny and needing renovation. But the price is right!
