The VISTA BLANES apartments are set out a little way from the main areas tho as its my first time in MENORCA ..everything seems a little out the way. The apartments are great tho, basic but very clean, our balcony faced out the back onto a flat grassy area...nothing to look at but very quiet.
The pool which is the main attraction here is terrific..its a good size with plenty of surrounding space and loads of free sunbeds...we were never cramped. The reception staff are very good, either speak excellent english or are actually english as is the car hire woman...who is extremely pleasent, shame the cars are a bit iffy. Alas we didnt see the maids as often as weve read..only once in the week..but that wasnt really a problem.
The on site shop is very good also ..with reasonable prices and selection. there is a fairly large restuarant section with pleasent enough waiters..tho i got the feeling as it was near the end of the season some of them were needing the rest. The kids club was enjoyed emensly by our grandaughter and the staff there were extemely hard working. Entertainment..where?..ok it was october.
The resort itself i found to be poor, i didnt find the tiny beach attractive at all...we hired a car for the week ( extremely hot and sunny week at that for october ) and went all over..better beaches to be found elsewhere...Citadel is beautiful...not keen on Mahon...stay clear of the American bar in Mahon...rip off. Just up the road about 200 yds from the apartments there is a chip shop which sells the best fish and chips i think ive ever had..u must go there, the chinese restuarant next door is great too ...worth every cent.
All in all a very good holiday..great apartments/weather...compared to Majorca ...just doesnt make it.

We have just come home from the Vista Blanes in Menorca and I am feeling blue. The apartments are quite nice, nothing fancy but simple and certainly OK for a holiday stay. The grounds are immaculate with the maintenance men keeping them spotless constantly throughout the day and night. The location was great we thought, just five minutes from what we thought was a lovely beach, yes small, but so pretty. A short walk from Cala Brut, a must, a fantastic cove with a view to die for and plenty of shops and bars. Irons and ironing boards are provided and towels were changed so often that ours were barely used. We would recommend anyone to these apartments.

i am off to hotel cala n blanes in 3 days and am wondering (or praying) that the hotel caters for english people who dont eat fry ups or chicken n chips on a daily basis!! please enlighten me also if its a mass stamped at meal times? i am truely looking forward to this trip and love lots of fun! How are the animation team? many many thanks for any replies, lisa x

sorry john i cant remember any pushchair hire here, tho i wasnt looking for it.we took a pushchair with us . sorry ...have a great holiday, the apartments are great.
