Located at the far ish end of Benalmadena, and a fair old walk to the trendy marina, the Vistamar aparthotel is situated up a very steep little side street. Excellent exercise, but no good if you have walking difficulties. The hotel looked pretty new when we arrived in 2006, and I must say a little lacking in character.
The apartments were ample in size, furnished adequately and clean, but I found the bar area to be quite unwelcoming, with plastic chairs (no comfy seating) and a ludicrously expensive price list. The pool area wasnt really big enough, and certainly wasnt pretty, the only view being of the houses across the road.
The holiday was quite forgettable really, and writing this review two years after the event Im actually struggling to remember any great or redeeming features.
I do remember that the holiday was very reasonably priced, but based on that alone, we wont be going back to see if its improved
