I have travelled all over the world and the viva tropic is one I would not hesitate to recommend. The staff are very friendly and always helpful, the amenities are spotless, as are the rooms and the food is reasonably priced, good and plentiful.
If you make it to Alcudia a visit to the Drunken Duck Bar is a must, Jono & Lisa make everyone welcome.
The beach is only a stones throw away and the harbour is breath taking, full of shops and bars
I will be making a return visit as soon as possible

i stayed here from the 18th august 2001. very nice apartments , basic but always spotless.
reps at this hotel are fantastic, brilliant discos in the pool and at evening for the kids. evening entertainment also very good, grease, iceskaters, theres always something to keep you occupied.
self catering hotel but you can pay while you are staying there to eat. didnt eat there myself but heard food was very good.
location of these apartments is brilliant. very near the lovely port which in my opinion is the nicer part of alcudia. lined with bars and mainly restaurants and near enough to walk to the other part of alcudia where theres even more choice of bars and restaurants. if you stay at these apartments you have to go to the 'drunken duck' british bar if you like a lively atmosphere. drinks are cheap and entertainment in this bar is outstanding (especially if theres football on). drink is very cheap from the local shops, theres a spar at the back of the hotel.
all in all a very friendly atmosphere quiet enough for a relaxing atmosphere if thats what you like but if you are taking teenagers im sure theyll make loadsa mates very easily. this hotel is equally populated with english people, irish people and german people. I would reccomend this holiday to anyone and we are returning in august 2003.
Returned in august 2003! Once again a brilliant holiday and we are returning again in september 2006!

Stayed first two weeks August 2003. Very good standard of accomodation, kept spotlessly clean by the cleaning staff. We were self catering and did not use the aparthotel dining room much but did use the poolside restaurant at times, which was fine and reasonably priced. On site entertainment staff arrange events for adults and kids during day and run evening entertainment etc. Other staff in reception / bars etc were very friendly and attentive. All in all I would recommend this complex.
