Couple
Short break

Visit again?
Definitely

Stayed for three nights on our way back from Las Vegas. Lived up to all expectations and more, in every way. even getting your items from the strong room is an experience much better than the modern hotel room safe. Only one regret wish we had stayed at the Waldorf for longer.

Hotel must do's

1. Eat in the Bull & Bear
2. Afternoon tea
3. Explore the Hotel (Ballroom, Bars. Ladies powder rooms etc.)

This was our 3rd visit to New York and our 2nd at the Waldorf. I just would not stay anywhere else now. !! The surroundings are spectacular, the service outstanding and the rooms superb. We are just 2 normal people from Bristol, nothing special, not rich or famous, but we never felt out of place. Our suite this time was on the 27th floor. We had a huge lounge - about 25 feet x 15 feet, with sofas, chairs, massive TV, desk, fax and full internet access etc if you had your laptop with you. The bathroom had a semi sunken bath and showerarea all clad in marble. 2 massive walk in wardrobes, iron/board, cofee maker, fridge in fact all you need. Even though you have all of this nothing can prepare you for the MOST COMFORTABLE BEDS inthe world. Boy they are somthing else. You just dont want to get up. We took breakfast in the hotel this time (served until 12 if you need a lie in), and we have eaten in the world famous Bull and Bear restauraunt in the hotel, but that was sooooooooooooo posh. Expensive but serves steaks like we just dont have in the UK. So all in all I just need to marry a president and live there forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Map Of New York (Maybe Of Some Help !!! )

We stayed here in March 1999, & to be honest we found the location quite good for our needs, but this is New York & you will be expected to do a lot of walking anyway !!!!!

It is a top class hotel so you are expected to pay for the facilities, but the staff are friendly & the rooms 1st class.

Only downside was the when we checked in we found that our room was double booked (not quite what you would expect of a hotel of such quality) but because of this we were offered 2 free nights accomodation, therefore we stayed 5 nights in New York for the price of 3 !!!!! Although we had to transfer to another hotel (United Nations Plaza) we were given $20 each way for a taxi (the fare was $5 !!!!)

Still no doubt this was a "one off" & it wouldnt put us off returning
