Warsaw Review: Warsaw, where money last longer in your pocket

Written by Jglassey on 10 Jan 2005 about a trip in Oct 2004.

I've been to Warsaw for a business trip. The city center is very nice. It's old style, completely refurbished with lot of nice shops and coffee bars, restaurants. Around city center it is a lot of new shopping centers. Most people goes into those fancy shopping mall for a coffee, walking. People are very polite and quiet. Life is very cheap mainly for restaurant and nightlife (except in shopping malls). With 100 euros I could pay drinks to 10 persons all night long (about 400 zloties).
Cigarettes and alcool are the things to shop there before you leave the country.
