| Yalikavak Review: Yalikavak is great says Lisa (age 33) | | Written by Lisa Muldoon on 26 Jan 2004
| I go to Turkey every year - this is my 12th year.
I loved Yalikavak. It was peacful and quiet with some fantastic restaurants such as Ada and The Windmill.
You are able to get to Bodrum, Gumbet (Crazy Town) and Bitez quite easily also.
My husband and I made loads of friends in Yalikavak and have been back for day trips when we have stayed nearby just so we could spend a day with the friends we made.
The beach is not great but you get get to Bitez by Dolmus which has a good beach and if you want a good boat trip find Ahmet in Bitez (he runs a hotel with his english wife) and for £7 you will get a fab day out on his boat with cold drinks & fresh fruit etc.
Well we are off to Bitez in June but will be back to Yalikavak later in the year.
I hope you enjoy Turkey as much as we do. |
