Zoraida Garden: Very Nice hotel by Alan Butler 1

Definitely

Me and my brother went to Roqetas De Mar last year and have booked again for this year. If you like Benidorm dont bother going to Almeria it's nothing like it, the atmosphere is much more relaxed and the resort is more Spanish and very residential. the beach is fine shingle so you wont be getting sand between your toes but if you like a more reserved holiday there is a land promanade for walks and the harbour is not to far from the Zoraida Gardens if you are in reasonable health. use plenty of sun block and wear a hat of some description the sun was very hot in September and carrying a small bottle of water is a good idea if you do intend walking any distance.

All around the resort is well suited to peolpe who prefer the quieter holiday and is very popular with the Spanish especialy during September. The Cafe Dori is O.K. for a decent english breakfast and Tony and Amanda are friendly and helpful and I cant think of why a couple who said they had been overcharged for drinks twice had been there must have been some mistake. although the Cafe Dori is not as cheep as some of the local spanish bars at least you get what you ask for. me and my brother went there every day for our lunch for a fortnight and we didn't get ripped off and we didn't get the monty's either.

Alan and Denis Butler.

P.S. we actually stayed at the Medetarenio Park 4 star but prefer to stay at the Zoraida Gardens. weve been in them both and the Medetarinia Park is very impessive to look at but the rooms dont do it justice and there are large glass panels in the downstairs bar and in the main bar that are cracked and let the whole place down for what should be a 4 star hotel.

Me, my wife & daughter (aged 15)
I have just got back from Zoraida Garden & won't be going back again.
The hotel is in a first class location & we had a brilliant view from our room overlooking the Med. The rooms were clean & OK for our family. I didn't find the locals very friendly at all (in fact I felt I was intruding their space)
The area is where the Spanish go for their holidays so the entertainment is geared up for the Spanish. We used to walk up to the "big monkey" for a decent evening & was always welcome in any bar.
Although I had read about it before I didn't agree with having to pay the daily fee for the cushions for the sunbeds.
We went to the waterpark for a change one day, this was OK but I have been to better parks with more rides.
Although I wouldn't go again I wouldn't worry anyone who had booked here. I think we were the only ones on our coach who stopped here for 14 nights, infact they al thought we deserved a medal for putting up with it for that long.
If you don't like loud music get your earplugs ready for the Aquarobics!!!
